I thought the movie was very eye opening. It is a very beautiful, strange and yet, at the same time, tragic world we live in. It revealed to me how very little know of it and how very little I've seen. Sometimes it is hard believe there are other places than the green pastures of home. It's hard to believe that when it is rainy here it is sunny somewhere else. What a big, foreign world we live in, and yet we all call it our own.
Some of the interesting/shocking scenes from the film were dance done by asian men that looked like waves, the poverty stricken towns, and the chicks put through on conveyor belts. The dance was really cool to watch and I never knew people could make suck noises. Living on a nice and near a nice city, I have never seen poverty and what it does to people. I have never had to pick through garbage to get my food and I have never had to live in a shabby house. Sometimes I forget that such situations exist. The chicks being processed was disturbing. I've never been a big "save the animals" person but seeing life being shipped around like an ordinary thing seemed wrong to me.
